Cascadia Heritage Farm had a surprise visit from Neil, Cody, Lance and Neil’s wife yesterday.

This is the first time I have met Neil and Lance in person.  We met Neil’s wife and Cody before.  They brought some chickens by for Cascadia Heritage Farm that we will show in another video.  In this video you can see Neil in the middle with his sons flanking him. Cody is on the right and Lance is on the left and they are holding two of the first three Malay chicks hatched at Cascadia Heritage Farm.

These birds are from George Clark of AZ and were hatched around January 20th.

These chicks’ parents’ background are that the hen is from a Pyle rooster from Dennis Campbell from Tennessee and the rooster is a young rooster that is grandson of the Billy Sumner bloodline of North Carolina.

Cascadia Heritage Farm is donating these Malay chicks to Neil and his sons to contribute to their efforts on the M.I.G.H.T, Malay Invigoration Gene Hybridization Team, Project.

Neil has been an inspiration on the M.I.G.H.T Project and we want to thank him for all the help and advice he has provided.  Cascadia Heritage Farm believes this project is important, Neil’s contribution is extremely valuable, and we are happy to reciprocate by giving Neil and his sons two chicks.

These are beautiful birds and Cody loves the size, legs, color and beaks.  He says they are perfect, and it’s hard to argue that they are not!  Lance commented that his is going to be very big and Neil jokes that it looks like a thanksgiving turkey.

Neil says that these Malay chickens are most definitely good birds and that they have an old authentic look.  He comments further that many people believe they have Malay chickens, but they do not; these chicks are most definitely Malays.

We at Cascadia Heritage Farm hope these birds can help Neil and his sons with their efforts on the M.I.G.H.T Project at their facility.

We at Cascadia Heritage Farm believe we can make a difference and that you can too.
